Here is our list of things to do this week.

Monday

  • Block out an evening at LEGO night at 6 p.m. at the Girard Free Library. The library’s providing the bricks; call (330) 545-2508 to reserve a spot.

  • Attend a free presentation from Ben Sherwood at 7 p.m. at Stambaugh Auditorium as part of Youngstown State University’s speaker series. Sherwood is a novelist and an award-winning journalist with ABC News and Disney; you can reserve tickets online or at the Stambaugh Auditorium box office.

  • Local collector, William Faith, has over 4,000 Pez dispensers which will be on display at the Salem Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Learn about the history of Pez, how it started and where it’s at today.

Tuesday

Wednesday

  • Register by today online to join the Jewish Community Center pickleball ladder league. It’s starting March 20 through April 17 every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the JCC, located at 505 Gypsy Lane.

  • Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner starts at 6 p.m. for Men’s Night Out at Leo’s Ristorante, located at 7042 E Market St. in Warren with Mercy Health’s Man Up Mahoning Valley and Yellow Brick Place Cancer Wellness Center. During the event, there’ll be a forum to ask urologists and doctors health care questions and discuss prostate cancer prevention. Registration is required, call (330) 480-2763.

Thursday

  • Attend the at 1 p.m. at Mahoning County Medical Society Alliance Basket Stroll at The Lake Club. All proceeds to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank and Butterflies and Hope Memorial Foundation.

  • Teens can register for the “Adulting 101” class at 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Howland Library. Register for the class by calling (330) 856-2011 to hear some tips about landing your first job

Friday

  • Visit Penguin City Beer for the St. Patrick’s Day kick-off party at 9 p.m. - 2 a.m. with DJ PUFF and food from Tra’s Gourmet Food Truck

  • Check out the Old Dublin Fish Fry, Classic haddock dinner and a sing-a-long with Entertainer Rodd Coonce from 5 - 7 p.m. at Kravitz Deli, located at 3135 Belmont Ave. in Youngstown.

  • Kick off the weekend with live music from The Irish Brigaders in the taproom at 7 p.m. at Noble Creature Wild Ales and Lagers in Youngstown.

Saturday

  • Taproom opens at 8 a.m. to kick off the two-day St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Birdfish Brewing Company in Columbiana. For entertainment, enjoy performances by the Burke School of Irish Dance, Steel Valley Pipes and Drums and The Hired Hands. Grab a bite from De-Lishas food truck or Frytanic food truck.   • Enjoy Irish tea and homemade quiche from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Piccadilly Parlour in Canfield

  • St. Bartholomew’s Church Social Hall and the Sandra Lee Foundation are giving away prom gowns, suits, shoes and accessories to students from any school district at 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. at 311 W. Ridge Ave. in Sharpsville, Penn. It’s limited to one per student and the students must be present to pick out their items.

  • Visit Penguin City Beer for day two of the St. Patrick’s Day weekend starting with Baldrick’s head shaving fundraiser at 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Grab a bite from Dirusso’s Sausage from noon - 10 p.m. or the Irish Buffet by Love Soup starts starting at 2 p.m. until they’re sold out. Doors open at 7 p.m. for Geo C and the Storm’s show at 8 p.m. - midnight; tickets are $5

  • The sixth annual Shamrock Run 5K and 1-Mile starts at 1 p.m. at the Canfield Fairgrounds in memory of Leslie Topoleski and for diabetes awareness; sign up here.
