A 65-year-old man died after sustaining injuries during a car crash last night, according to the Youngstown Police Department.

The crash happened around 10:25 p.m. Wednesday on Poland Avenue near Walton Street in Youngstown.

According to police, it was a single-car crash and the driver was the only occupant in the car.

He was taken to the hospital, where reports say he died at the hospital.

The police’s Accident Investigation Unit and the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office are looking into what caused the crash.

No other information was immediately available in the matter.
