Hubbard police ask for help in unsolved homicide investigation of Cody Pitts
City of Hubbard police chief Robert Thompson is asking for the public’s help in the ongoing unsolved homicide investigation of 26-year-old Cody Pitts.
“For the past nine years, we’ve diligently questioned many individuals and pursued numerous leads,” the chief said.
Hubbard police is seeking the following information
Reports say they’re looking for any information about a Walther P-22 with the serial number L404221 that’s connected to the shooting death of Pitts who was killed in 2015.
The police are asking anyone with information about this gun to contact them to help solve his homicide.
“Our current focus on understanding the specifics of this firearm is a testament to our unwavering commitment to leave no stone unturned,” said Chief Thompson. “Our top priority has always been to utilize every resource available to solve this case and provide closure for both the family and the community.”
Pitts was found dead on March 7, 2015 on Orchard Avenue near North Main Street in downtown Hubbard. He was killed by a single gunshot wound.

Pitts’ friends organized a nonprofit in his memory, the Cody A. Pitts Foundation.
The foundation raises awareness for their friends’ unsolved case and raises money to give back to the Hubbard community, and they’ve been hosting a golf fundraiser for the past six years.
This year’s ‘Big Pitty Classic’ is June 29 at Deer Creek Golf Course in Hubbard.
