7 events to check out in April at the Warren-Trumbull County Library

The Warren-Trumbull County Library has announced the following events for April:

  • National Library Week is set for April 7-13 and the Howland branch on East Market Street is planning an event to mark the occasion on April 10 from 5 to 5:30 p.m. The featured event will be Motown Music with guitarist Tyler Guerrieri at 5:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
  • Stuffed Animal Sleepover parties are set for 11 a.m. April 9 at Brookfield branch and 6 p.m. April 16 at the Howland Branch. Participants in Pre-K through Grade 3 can bring their pajamas. Registration is required.
  • Warren Historical Players will present “The Titanic!” at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13 at the main Warren-Trumbull County Library at 444 Mahoning Avenue NW in Warren. April 12 will mark the 112 th anniversary of the sinking of the infamous ship on its maiden voyage in the north Atlantic Ocean.
  • Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to the free Snack or Dare event at 5:30 p.m. Monday April 15 at the Lordstown branch Library.
  • Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to the free event “Earth Day Seed Bombs” at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18 at the Liberty Branch Library on Churchill Hubbard Road. Registration is required.
  • Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to the free event “Upcycle Palooza,” set from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23 at the Cortland branch Library at the corner of Lakeview and Wakfield drives.
  • The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library announced that its annual Summer Reading Program will get a new format this year with an emphasis on activities designed to encourage reading and community explorations, officials said. More details will be forthcoming on registration in the 2024 Summer Challenge which ill take place from May 28 to July 27 at all Trumbull County library locations and on the Bookmobile.
