Solar eclipse 2024: National Weather Service predicts 56% cloud cover for event in region

It is unclear about how exactly clear the skies will be Monday afternoon for the solar eclipse in the Mahoning Valley.

The Cleveland office of the National Weather Service says in a Monday morning forecast that cloud cover at 3 p.m. is expected to be 56% in Youngstown with high cirrus clouds moving in by mid-afternoon.
