A Mahoning County jury found 20-year-old Mehki Venable guilty on Friday for the murder of Jacob Moore.

“I’m sorry that Jacob Moore’s family had to deal with his senseless murder and their heartbreak,” Mahoning County Prosecutor Gina DeGenova said. “We are pleased with the outcome of the jury’s decision and would like to thank the hard-working prosecutors who worked tirelessly during this trial.”

Venable shot and killed Moore on the city’s north side in September 2022.
