Road improvements planned on four streets in Warren’s business district

The City of Warren will be making improvements to streets in the central business district soon, according to a news release Thursday from the city’s engineering, planning and building department.

According to Department Director Paul Makosky, the project consists of asphalt pavement planning and resurfacing. Manholes and inlets will be adjusted as specified. Curb ramps, pavement markings, and traffic control signs will be completed.

The report states that the improvements’ cost exceeds $2 million, with federal and state funds covering 100 percent of the project cost.

No specific date was mentioned for the project on the Ohio Department of Transportation web site.

The streets to be improved are listed below:

  • High Street (Main Avenue to Chestnut Avenue)
  • Main Avenue (South Street to High Street)
  • Mahoning Avenue (High Street to Atlantic Streeet)
  • Park Avenue (Fulton Street to Ivanhoe Avenue)
