Here are 10 ways Ohioans are choosing to de-stress in 2024, according to study
Researchers with Interventional Pain Management and Ortho-Spine Center looked at monthly Google searches trying to find the top hobby for each state.
They wanted to know which stress detoxifying activity is the go-to for each state, based on the average number of Google searches each month related to that hobby.
What is the top way Ohioans choose to de-stress?
In Ohio, it’s gaming with an average of 132,071 monthly searches.
Researchers included searches like: ‘[hobby] class’, ‘[hobby] lessons’ and ‘how to learn [hobby]’ in their analysis.
Dr. Amit Poonia at Interventional Pain Management and Ortho-Spine Center said having hobbies can boost one’s self-esteem and confidence.
“Engaging in activities with others, whether it’s playing sports, joining a club, or even playing games with friends can provide opportunities for social connection and support. Social support is crucial for managing stress and promoting resilience,” he said.
