To improve the structural integrity and keep drivers safe, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced a new million-dollar bridge rehabilitation project set to start next summer.

Crews will be replacing part of the bridge on State Route-46 over Big Run north of Cadwallader Sonk Road in Bazetta Township.

During construction, they’re planning to replace the concrete bridge beams and deck, as well as roadway approach slabs and guardrails.

According to ODOT, the road will be closed to drivers for at least 45 days.

Drivers will be directed to take detours on State Routes 305, 11 and 82. The full list of detours will be posted on the ODOT project website once the project starts.
