The Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District is touting the theme of “gotta go green” as its Trumbull Collection Facility at 5138 Enterprise Blvd N.W. in Warren, began its summer hours on May 1.

On Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the collection facility will be accepting electronics, appliances and foam. Examples include old televisions, computers, microwaves, refrigerators and batteries. The facility cautions no household hazardous waste will be accepted, and the facility staff will be removing the Freon from old refrigerators.

On Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the facility will accept electronics, appliances, foam and common household hazardous wastes like chemicals, oil-based paints, old gasoline, batteries and auto fluids. Latex paint will not be accepted. Consult www.gottagogreen.org for proper disposal tips.

The facility will be open Saturdays from 9 a.m. until noon on May 4, June 1, July 13, Aug. 3, Sept. 7 and Oct. 5 to accept electronics, appliances, foam, and household hazardous waste.
