Jennifer Pintar gets recommendation to be Youngstown State’s next Provost
Jennifer Pintar will be recommended to the Youngstown State Board of Trustees to become the school’s next Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, according to a press release Monday from President Bill Johnson.
Pintar has been serving as Interim Provost since January 2024.
“After a nationwide search and consideration of 40 candidates, I am proud to announce I am recommending to the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees, Dr. Jennifer Pintar for the position of Provost at YSU,” Johnson said. “Her demonstrated leadership over the last five months as Interim Provost has demonstrated that she is absolutely the right person to lead our office of Academic Affairs into an exciting and dynamic future.”
Pintar started her time at Youngstown State in 1999 as an instructor in Human Performance and Exercise Science.
