Police looking for suspects after reported Youngstown fight ends in gunfire outside Vibez Restaurant

Youngstown police responded to reports of gunshots outside of Vibez Restaurant and Event Center on Midlothian Boulevard.

Officers arrived at around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday after receiving calls that there was a fight involving gunfire. They found several bullet casings in the parking lot outside the restaurant, according to a police report.

The Vibez security guard told police that he heard gunshots and immediately sought cover behind a nearby car. He did not see the faces of any suspects. Police also spoke with the Vibez manager who said he was not aware of any fight that happened inside the restaurant.

The incident caused damage to a black GMC Denali that officers reported to have been punctured with bullets.

Youngstown police stated that at the same time of the incident, an individual with bullet wounds was admitted into Mercy Health – St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, but they were not able to determine whether the two incidents are connected.
