There’s a nonprofit called Season of Justice that brings awareness to cold cases across the nation.

They’re helping the local authorities, family and the Boardman community figure out what happened to Joanne Coughlin, who disappeared 49 years ago.

There’s a billboard of 21-year-old Coughlin at the intersection of Boardman-Canfield Road and Market Street in Boardman. It asks anyone in the community with information to contact the police.

According to Season of Justice, the billboard will stay up through the end of July “in hopes of reminding the community that Joanne is still missed and her family remains committed to finding her.”

What happened to Joanne Coughlin?

Coughlin was last seen heading to the European Health Spa in Boardman wearing blue jeans, a black shirt, a blue tie, a green leather jacket, and tan shoes.

She disappeared December 27, 1974, while driving a blue 1968 Ford Fairlane with a white top, license plate H4482G.

This December, the Coughlin family and police will officially have spent 50 years searching for her.
