Here’s what’s happening at this weekend’s Walk & Rally to Defeat ALS in Niles
This weekend, Cafaro Company employees are raising awareness and funds for the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association in honor of a coworker who was beside them for 30 years.
Meet Leslie’s ALStars, Cafaro employees participating in Sunday’s Walk & Rally to Defeat ALS at the Eastwood Mall.
They’re walking and raising money for the ALS Association, which provides financial and emotional support for families and individuals living with ALS through equipment, community and advocacy.
The walking team is named after their coworker Leslie Sok who was diagnosed with ALS in 2022 and has been battling the disease ever since.
After working for three decades for the Cafaro Company, she’s now in retirement to focus on her health.
So far, over $8,000 has been raised by Trumbull County teams for the ALS Association, including a $5,000 donation from the Cafaro Company.
