Past Times Arcade just made Guinness World Records. What did they do to get recognized?
Ahead of celebrating the business’ first anniversary, the owner of Past Times Arcade found out he received a world record.
Rob Berk opened Past Times Arcade one year ago to share his a collection of vintage and new pinball and arcade games on North State Street in Girard with the community.
Reilly Berk surprised her dad with a plaque from the Guinness World Records letting him know he owns the largest collection of pinball machines in the world.
Mike Hale and Wayne Meyers, along with the Berk family, have been working with the Guinness World Record for the past two years to get the record confirmed.
Back in February, he Guinness World Records having 1,041 pinball machines – not counting duplicates.
Now, the collection has grown to 1,080 games.
“Our team was doing the inventory and taking photos for almost two years,” said Rob’s wife, Brigitt. “WKBN recently interviewed Rob and my daughter, Reilly, about this process. There was another segment with Stan Boney on WKBN from the night we presented it.”
