The Diocese of Youngstown and the administration at Warren John F. Kennedy Catholic School chose William Pituch as their newest leader.

Pituch’s coming to Warren from Erie, Penn., where he most recently worked as vice president of academics and student affairs at Erie Catholic Preparatory School and Villa Maria Cathedral Preparatory School System.

He oversaw a $22.5 million expansion of Cathedral Prep’s campus and worked with administrators to merge the two campuses.

“Kennedy is a proud community that I am very much looking forward to serving,” said Pituch. “In all of my interactions with the board, administration and staff, it is truly a family that has produced not just great minds, but also great hearts formed in the Catholic faith.”

He’s taking over for Joseph Kenneally who was president for ten years. Kenneally is heading to Kennedy Catholic Schools in Hermitage, Penn.

Pituch is a former social studies teacher at Cathedral Preparatory School.

Pituch earned a Master of Arts Degree in History from Kansas State University, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History, Citizenship and Education from Gannon University.

He’s gone back and taught at collegiate levels as an adjunct history instructor at Gannon University and the University of Saint Francis, as well as an adjunct geography and history instructor at Mercyhurst University.
