Fellow professors in the Youngstown State University communications department, as well as former and current students are honoring a longtime professor who passed away unexpectedly.

“It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Max Grubb, senior lecturer in YSU’s department of communication. Max loved teaching and interacting with students. He enjoyed taking his students his students abroad and regularly planned global media systems tours of London and Paris,” wrote YSU officials.

Grubb started teaching at YSU in 2013.

On Wednesday, the YSU flag in the center of campus will be lowered and flown at half-staff for three days.
