What is Ohio’s most searched ice cream flavor? Here’s how flavors ranked in the state

A new study shows that Ohio’s most searched ice cream flavor is Superman — a tricolor combination, popularly made with strawberry, banana and blue moon ice cream swirled together.

Affordable seating, a popular restaurant furniture manufacturer analyzed Google search data to find that Ohioans had 2,258 average monthly searches for the Superman flavor. Neapolitan and blue moon came in second and third place respectively.

Superman ice cream originated in the Midwest but became popular nationwide.

From a national perspective, Superman ice cream ranks third in the U.S. with nearly 40,000 average monthly searches. Neapolitan — the chocolate, vanilla and strawberry flavor combo — is the most searched ice cream in the U.S. with over 60,000 average monthly searches.

Vanilla and spumoni bring up the rear in fourth and fifth most searched ice cream flavors in Ohio.

Affordable seating got their results by researching Google search data from 102 different ice cream flavors and breaking down which flavors are the most searched nationwide as well as in each state.
