Cool down and try new NERDS grape-flavored Italian ice in Austintown
Looking for something new to help beat the heat? Try the NERDS grape-flavored Italian ice available for the summer this week at Austintown’s sweet treat spot called Rita’s Italian Ice and Frozen Custard.
The new flavor will be available in several forms, like an ice-blended drink called Grape Ice or grape layered on top of vanilla custard and sprinkled with baby-sized NERDS.
Madalyn Weintraub, the senior director of marketing at Rita’s Italian Ice and Frozen Custard, said Grape Ice and BABY NERDSTM topping can also be enjoyed across Rita’s menu of signature treats.
“We are thrilled to introduce our guests to the innovative and adventurous sweet, crunchy and tangy flavor of NERDS® Grape flavored Ice this summer,” said Weintraub. “Being the first to launch the BABY NERDSTM topping is an incredible opportunity to offer our guests a unique and fun experience they can only find at Rita’s. This partnership exemplifies our dedication to continually bringing fresh and exciting flavors to our menu. We are excited for guests to create unforgettable summer memories with a Rita’s in their hand.”
Weintraub said the Italian Ice is made fresh daily on-site and available in 80 different flavors.
The new NERDS topping is available for free on the app when customers order a Gelati or Gelati Blender and redeem the one-time-use reward through their loyalty app at participating Rita’s locations. New app users will receive the reward when they sign-up through July 21.
