Community leaders called to register for Leadership Mahoning Valley program
Leadership Mahoning Valley is accepting applications for the next set of leaders for its year-long program.
This will be the 40th anniversary of the program, which has over 1,200 business and community leaders who have graduated from the program and have gone on to assume leadership roles within the community.
The deadline to apply for the program is on Friday and virtual information sessions will be held on Zoom on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
What is the program like?
The program will begin in September and include a series of speakers, tours, hands-on activities and site visits. Participants will gain knowledge of programs, services, businesses, and institutions in the Mahoning Valley.
Program days are centered around specific topics such as Government and Justice, Economic Development, Housing and Community Development and more.
Participants also partake in assessments to determine their leadership style and become self aware of their strengths and weaknesses.
Which applicants get selected for the program?
Applicants who have demonstrated community involvement and have a passion for increasing their personal development and community leadership are encouraged to apply.
The program is looking for a diverse group of people with clear leadership potential who have demonstrated capacity and a track record for driving action and results within their own organization or in the community.
