Eastern Gateway Community College will have one last commencement before shutting down
Eastern Gateway Community College (EGCC) will have its final commencement ceremony on Aug. 10 at the Steubenville campus.
The college is set to close its doors permanently on Oct. 31 of this year.
The community college issued a press release stating that the ceremony will showcase the hard work, perseverance, and accomplishments of the graduating class of 2024.
As these students prepare to embark on the next chapter of their lives, EGCC is honored to recognize their remarkable journey and celebrate their wonderful achievements.
“We are incredibly proud of our graduating students and all that they have accomplished during their time at EGCC,” John Crooks, Interim President of EGCC said. “This final commencement at our Steubenville campus holds a special place in our hearts as we celebrate the academic success and personal growth of our students.”
The commencement ceremony will be a poignant and celebratory occasion, bringing together students, faculty, staff, families, and the wider community to honor the dedication and excellence of EGCC’s graduates.
“We invite our students and their families to join us in celebrating this momentous occasion and to show our support for the bright futures that lie ahead for our graduates,” Art Daly, Senior Executive Vice President said.
