A man received a six-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to a bill of information charging him with aggravated possession of drugs and violation of a protection order.

The case involved Anthony Rice, 30, of East Kline Street, Girard, at an incident on March 8. Rice was found at his mother’s house where he was not allowed. Officers located plastic bags of a substance that later tested out to be 0.12 grams of methamphetamine.

Rice will serve the prison term consecutively to a prison sentence he will receive on Aug. 22 from Judge Ronald J. Rice for conviction of a failure to comply with order of a police officer.

That case involved a police chase through Howland and Vienna where Rice’s vehicle had to be stopped via spikes in the roadway.
