The Mahoning Valley high school football season launched Thursday night with six games throughout the area.

Walsh Jesuit 37, Youngstown Ursuline 35
Youngstown Ursuline dropped a 37-35 decision to Walsh Jesuit.
DC Ferrell led the Fighting Irish with 212 passing yards and three throwing touchdowns and added 100 rushing yards and another score on the ground. Devonte Taylor added seven catches for 74 yards and a touchdown.
