$5,000 reward for information leading to arrest in Warren arson investigation

Investigators with the State Fire Marshal’s Fire and Explosion Investigations Bureau are seeking tips from the public to solve a fire caused by arson in Warren.

The Blue Ribbon Arson Committee is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in an arson investigation in Warren.

The Ohio Department of Commerce Division of State Fire Marshal ruled the fire in Warren as being caused by arson and is now seeking tips from the public to help identify those responsible.

At approximately 11:53 p.m. on Aug. 24, the Warren Fire Department responded to a fire report at the Ohio Inn located at 1321 N. Park Ave.

When crews arrived on the scene, they found a wooden stairway leading to a second-floor apartment on the south side of the building on fire.

The Warren Fire Department and the Warren Police Department are also investigating the incident with the state fire marshal.

During the investigation, investigators determined the fire resulted from an intentional act.
