A special report of the Trumbull County grand jury on Thursday, September 26, 2024, has decided not to indict 19-year-old Kyair J. Kyser with charges of aggravated murder and aggravated robbery.

Kyser of Woodbine Avenue SE, Warren, was accused in the April 9, 2024, shooting death of 35-year-old Howard Dorsey at 1028 Lovers Lane NW. But the grand jury decided there was not enough evidence to indict Kyser.

According to 911 reports, a woman informed dispatchers that Dorsey had been shot and was bleeding from the mouth as he laid on the dining room floor. He died a short time later. A police report said the woman saw two men running away as she was awakened by sounds of gunfire. A handgun was found on the ground near the victim’s body, the report stated.
