Youngstown police investigating after man found shot to death in parked car

The Youngstown Police Department is investigating a shooting death that occurred Friday.

A man was found dead in a car from gunshot wounds in the 400 block of Norwood Avenue, according to a police report.

On Oct. 11 at approximately 1:30 a.m., the Youngstown Police Department responded to the area in regards to a shooting.

According to officials, officers found a white man shot multiple times inside a vehicle that was parked on the street.

Officers removed the victim from the vehicle and began performing life saving measures but the man was deceased, according to the report.

Officials said the Detective Bureau and Crime Scene Unit were requested and arrived shortly after.

Investigators located multiple casing outside of the vehicle and other pieces of evidence that will be sent for processing, according to the report.

No further information was available on Thursday.
