Local couple open new weight loss, wellness treatment clinic for Canfield community
Rodney and Nicole Robinson recently held the grand opening of Vital Evolution, a new medical treatment clinic specializing in weight loss and wellness treatment.
The couple met in nursing school at Kent State University, bringing a decade of experience to the new clinic.
In 2014, Nicole received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Kent State University, then went to Maryville University in 2017 for her Master’s in Nursing.
Rodney has worked as a registered nurse in Boardman’s emergency rooms for over a decade and started as a travel nurse in 2021.
When he’s not wearing scrubs, Rodney competes professionally in power lifting and body building contests.
“My husband, the body builder, has always been into the fitness world, so he is very passionate about the testosterone side,” she said. “I personally struggled with weight loss forever, and nothing worked. Didn’t matter if I was in the gym seven days a week, or if I was eating rice and chicken, it didn’t matter until I started taking the weight loss medication some of the time.”
The duo’s individual health journeys inspired their desire to open their own health and wellness clinic.
“We have a lot of experience, and we’re very personable people, so clients feel comfortable talking about the things that we treat, for example, like erectile dysfunction in males. That’s kind of a little embarrassing thing, right? We make clients feel comfortable,” she said.
Clients can schedule an appointment at Vital Evolution for:
Injections of B12, D and glutathion for vitamin deficiencies
Medication and pain management for acute illnesses, including seasonal colds, influenza, pneumonia and appendicitis
Lab work and interpretation of lab work results
Customized wellness programs for boosting athletic performance
Testosterone replacement therapy
Weight loss medication
IV hydration
“We’re super excited to be part of the community. Everybody in Canfield has been just so very welcoming to us. We’re from Boardman,” Nicole said. “From the Chamber of Commerce to other businesses, everybody’s been incredibly inviting. That helps us to want to do good for the business.”
