Northeast Ohio woman wins $1-million top prize on Merry Money scratch-off

A Northeast Ohio Lottery player recently won $1,000,000 playing the Ohio Lottery scratch-off, Merry Money.

She purchased her ticket at ACME Fresh Market #1, located at 1835 W Market Street in Akron, according to Ohio Lottery.

The winner chose the cash option of $500,000. After mandatory federal and state tax withholdings totaling 28 percent, she will receive approximately $360,000.

Merry Money is a $20 scratch-off with a top prize of $40,000 for 25 years. As of December 5, the Ohio Lottery has two top prizes remaining in Merry Money, as well as other great prizes.
