On Monday, representatives from #1 Cochran presented a check for $45,000 to the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley to culminate the Auto Group’s annual Operation Santa campaign.

From mid-November through December 2024, #1 Cochran dealerships in Ohio pledged to donate $50 from every new and used vehicle sold to the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley.

Representatives said funds will support local initiatives throughout the year and the Care Closet at Boardman Center Intermediate School, which provides hygiene and food items for children in need.

The Care Closet at Boardman Center Intermediate School received a $25,000 donation in 2022 and a $15,040 contribution in 2021 from Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC.

Since then, through the combined efforts of Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC and #1 Cochran after the acquisition in 2023, the organization has donated over $100,000 to the local United Way, continuing to support vital initiatives like the Care Closet and other community programs.
