On Friday, Mahoning County officials temporarily closed a local center for odor investigation.

The Mahoning County Commissioners said they have become aware of an odor at the Oakhill Renaissance Center, located at 345 Oak Hill Renaissance Place.

While the source of the smell is under active investigation, they are taking precautionary measures and have decided to close the building effective immediately, according to officials.

All employees and visitors are required to leave the building for the remainder of the day – Friday, March 7, 2025. Officials said they anticipate operations to resume as normal for our next business day.

Officials said the safety and well-being of employees and the public remain its top priority.

“We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and will provide updates as more information becomes available,” officials said.
