Regional Chamber, Lake to River representatives take trip to Washington D.C.

Local business leaders took a trip to Washington D.C. to meet with state representatives and advocate for issues important to the Mahoning Valley.

Representatives from Lake to River and the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber participated in one-on-one meetings with U.S. Reps. Dave Joyce (R-Bainbridge) and Michael Rulli (R-Salem), as well as U.S. Sens. Bernie Moreno and Jon Husted.

According to the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, the meetings with the legislators were intended to build relationships between northeast Ohio constituents and their representatives in Congress.

The vice president of Lake to River, Michael McGiffin, joined Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber leaders like president Guy Coviello and Lyle Huffman.

Lake to River focuses on fostering economic growth and innovation in the northeast Ohio region, like revitalizing East Palestine.

On March 5, the group attended the State of Ohio’s birthday celebration at the Library of Congress.
