Gov. Tim Walz plans trip to Youngstown for Ohio Democrats’ town hall
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the running mate of former vice president Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, is coming to northeast Ohio to hold two public town halls.
Ohio Democratic Party announced Gov. Walz will be joining them for evening town halls on April 7 and April 8 in Ohio’s fifth and sixth Congressional districts.
According to Ohio Democratic Party chair Elizabeth Walters, the town halls are taking place in Youngstown and Lorain, two Republican congressional districts.
“We’re grateful to Gov. Walz for joining us for the People’s Town Hall,” Walters said. “Republicans are continuing to ignore their constituents, but Democrats are stepping up to fill the gap because we know Ohioans deserve to be heard.”
Anyone interested in attending the town hall from 6 - 8 p.m. on April 7 in Youngstown can register online while spots are available.
The location will be provided to all registered participants 24 hours in advance of the event.
