JAC Live announced the entertainment schedule for this summer’s Canfield Fair, with two major musical guests booked and set to take the stage.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Lynyrd Skynyrd and award-winning country musician Brad Paisley are closing out the last two days at the Canfield Fair.

It’s Ohio’s largest county fair, and third largest in the U.S. starting Aug. 27 through Sept. 1 featuring activities like the demolition derby and championship truck and tractor pull.

Paisley’s scheduled to start the show at 7 p.m. Aug. 31 during the 179th Canfield Fair and tickets will be available online starting April 17.

Dave Mannion, Canfield Fair board president, said this isn’t Paisley’s first time coming to the grandstand.

“Twenty-four years ago, in 2001, Brad Paisley, with just a 2 year old record contract played the Canfield Fair on a portable stage in front of a blue tarp. I can guarantee you that is not the same experience our Fairgoers will experience this year,” Mannion said.

Ken Bigley is the chief operating officer for JAC Live.

Although JAC Live now puts on concerts across the U.S., the concerts at the Canfield Fair are always exciting, according to Bigley.

“This is the place where we first saw the concerts that fueled our desire to go into the entertainment business,” he said. “Working with the Fair Board to bring legendary performers Brad Paisley and Lynyrd Skynyrd to the grandstand along with their energy and excitement is incredible.”

Lynyrd Skynyrd’s playing at 7 p.m. Sept. 1 on the last day of the fair at the grandstand; tickets will be available online starting April 17.

Lynyrd Skynyrd was founded in 1964 by Ronnie Van Zant, Bob Burns and Gary Rossington.

The new iteration of the band stars Johnny Van Zant, performing hit songs like “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Free Bird.” The band is continuing the legacy as one of the most prolific American rock groups with over 28 million records sold.

Tickets are only available through Ticketmaster.
