It’s the Fourth of July, and the Youngstown community is going big with fireworks shows, festive parades and live music.

Here’s a list of several fireworks shows and celebrations happening for Independence Day in Mahoning County. Let us know if we missed any by sending an email to news@mahoningmatters.com

Mahoning County

At 10:10 a.m., participants in the Canfield Fourth of July parade will start lining up at the Canfield Fairgrounds.

The route will continue along South Broad Street and around the Canfield Green.

Austintown’s forty-seventh Fourth of July parade begins at noon at the intersection of Raccoon Road and Kirk Road.

Struthers’ annual parade also is at noon beginning at the Fifth Street Plaza, then heading north on Fifth Street to Sexton Street.

For the Fourth of July, the city of Youngstown’s hosting a food truck and fireworks celebration kicking off at 5 p.m. with a special induction ceremony.

Five new inductees will join the the Youngstown Walk of Fame; they’re all world-championship boxers from Youngstown, including Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini and Kelly “The Ghost” Pavlik.

Right after the induction ceremony, grab dinner from local food trucks and listen to live musical performances at 6 p.m. before the fireworks show at dusk.

There’s no admission fee, and it’s all happening at Wean Park and The Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre in downtown Youngstown.
