Downtown Youngstown is alive with the sound of music, the energy of art, and the spirit of community—and the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber encourages residents, businesses and visitors to be part of it.

Highlights include:

YO Spotlight Summer Concert Series Free live music every noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Aug. 27 at Spring Commons Park, 534 Mahoning Ave. Bring a lunch, bring a chair and enjoy the midday rhythm of local talent. East End Farmers Market Shop local produce, artisan goods and community vendors 5 to 7 p.m. each Wednesday at Penguin City Brewing, 460 E. Federal St. Creative Thursdays on Phelps Street Launching Thursday, July 31 and continuing weekly, this open-air art night invites creatives of all levels to bring their own supplies and make something beautiful together from 5 to 8 p.m. Round tables and chairs will be provided. Located in the Phelps Street Gateway, just steps from free parking on Commerce Street behind 20 Federal. Greater Youngstown Italian Fest A weekend celebration of Italian American culture featuring international entertainment, food, games and community spirit at Central Square. The festival runs:

11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1.

2 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2.

11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3. Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons: The Last Encores One legendary night only—Friday, Aug. 1 at 8 p.m. at the DeYor Performing Arts Center, 260 W. Federal St. Tickets at deyorpac.org. YSU Football “Meet the Team” Day Meet the 2025 Penguins up close 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2 the WATTS. Autographs, photos, interactive games, food trucks and the NECA/IBEW Push-Up Challenge featuring YSU players vs. the 910th Airlift Wing. Parking is available at lot M-81. Black Men’s Wellness Day More than an event—it is a movement. Join this morning of health, strength and community 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 2 at the Covelli Centre, 229 E. Front St. Jazz in the Park Live jazz 3 to 7 p.m. every Sunday through Aug. 31 at Wick Park. Aug. 3 features Stacey “Sarah’s Girl” Richardson & Bryan Golden – The Misfits. Youngstown Summer Movie Series Free outdoor films 9 p.m. every Monday on the lawn at Wean Park. The Aug. 4 feature is The Wild Robot (2024). The rain date is 9 p.m. Tuesday.

“From families and foodies to artists and music lovers, there is something for everyone to enjoy,” said chamber representatives. “Let’s meet downtown - let’s celebrate Youngstown.”

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, a partner to help advance the strategic redevelopment of the city’s downtown, stated it will continue to assist in improving business-to-business communication so that retailers, including restaurants and bars, can make good staffing decisions that coincide with these upcoming large events.
