Mahoning Valley Freedom Fighters to host rally celebrating Women’s Equality Day

Mahoning Valley Freedom Fighters are organizing a rally outside the Mahoning County Courthouse to celebrate Women’s Equality Day..

Representatives from local women’s organizations are invited to set up information tables. The event will also have a voter registration table.

Event organizers said because MVFF is engaged in Mutual Aid activities, it is also holding a donation drive for Ohio CAN and rally goers are encouraged to bring donations to the event.

All donations will be delivered to Ohio CAN at their next hot meal event scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025 at the Unitarian Church at 1105 Elm Street, in the fellowship hall in the church basement., according to the organization. Lauren Mc Nally, Representative, Ohio District 58 (D), and Jaunita O. Brent, Representative, Ohio District 18, (D) will speak about the impact of the Save Act and corresponding legislation, SB 153/HB 233 currently under consideration by the Ohio General Assembly.
