Warren G. Harding HS cancels upcoming football game against Ursuline, releases statement

Warren G. Harding High School has cancelled its upcoming game against Ursuline High School.

On Wednesday afternoon the school issued a statement regarding the game scheduled for Sept. 19:

“In light of the recent allegations against the Ursuline Football Program and a second Federal lawsuit filed today, the Warren G. Harding Raiders, respectfully, will not be playing Ursuline in Game 5 scheduled for September 19,” the statement read.

The announcement comes after a second lawsuit was filed against Ursuline High School, its staff, and member of the football team earlier in the day.

The school stated the decision was made with careful consideration and the district is confident it is in the best interest of the Warren G. Harding students and its community.
