Percentage of Income Payment Plan Plus
Assistance programs are available for income-eligible customers in Ohio, like the Percentage of Income Payment Plan Plus.
PIPP allows eligible customers to make income-based payments on their utility bill, with a minimum of $10 per month.
If a customer’s home is heated with gas, they’ll have a monthly payment of 5% of their gross household income for the natural gas bill, and 5% of their gross household income for the electric bill.
If a customer’s home is heated with electric, their monthly payment is 10% of their gross household income.
The balance of your utility bill is subsidized by the state of Ohio.
Paying on time and in full each month with PIPP can help reduce outstanding balances. If customers make 24 on-time and in-full payments, any outstanding balance with utility companies will be eliminated.
