A full weekend of entertainment, sports and family events is scheduled across downtown Youngstown.

Here’s a look at what’s happening:

FRIDAY

YSU women’s volleyball Youngstown State University hosts Cleveland State at 6 p.m. at the Beeghly Center at YSU.

First Fridays on the Wick Corridor The McDonough Museum of Art, Solomon Gallery and The Butler Institute of American Art and the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County host First Fridays along the Wick Corridor.

McDonough Museum of Art, 525 Wick Ave. – Interactive video projection The Articulated Act by Crystal Beiersdorfer, with music by Floor Baba from 5 to 8 p.m. Snacks, beverages and adult beverages available.

Solomon Gallery, Bliss Hall 547, Wick Ave. – Artwork by Lauren Davies on view from 5 to 8 p.m.

The Butler Institute of American Art, 524 Wick Ave. – Open 5 to 7:30 p.m. Exhibitions include internationally acclaimed Cuban American painter Julio Larraz, a retrospective of Fred Staloff, and works by celebrated artist and actress Kim Novak.

Author Talk at Main Library Author and paranormal investigator James Willis shares stories from his favorite weird places in Ohio at 6 p.m. at the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County – Main Library, 305 Wick Ave.

Country Line Dance Nights Penguin City Brewing Company, 460 E. Federal St., presents Country Line Dance Nights from 5 to 7 p.m.

Youngstown Phantoms hockey The Youngstown Phantoms take on the Sioux Falls Stampede in USHL play at 7:05 p.m. at the Covelli Centre, 229 E. Front St. The series continues Saturday at 6:05 p.m. for Military Night.

The Uncle Louie Variety Show Lavika Entertainment presents The Uncle Louie Variety Show at 8 p.m. in Ford Recital Hall at the DeYor Performing Arts Center, 260 W. Federal St.

Fall Skywatch at Ward Beecher Planetarium The Ward Beecher Planetarium at YSU presents Fall Skywatch at 8 p.m., a live program about the current night sky. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. Admission is free.

SATURDAY

YSU football The Youngstown State Penguins play Southern Illinois at 2 p.m. at Stambaugh Stadium at YSU.

Legends: Perseus & Andromeda at Ward Beecher Planetarium The Ward Beecher Planetarium at YSU presents Legends: Perseus & Andromeda at 2 p.m. The animated show follows Aesop the owl on a lighthearted journey through Greek mythology, sharing the stories of Perseus, Andromeda, and Cetus the sea monster.

Downtown Night Market The Downtown Night Market runs from 5 to 11 p.m. at The Federal, 110 W. Federal St.

Hits for Hearing Delta Zeta Sorority Fundraiser Penguin City Brewing Company, 460 E. Federal St., hosts Hits for Hearing, a Delta Zeta Sorority fundraiser, from 6 to 10 p.m.

Stage play at DeYor Michael Anthony Forney’s “Should I Get Married?” begins at 7:30 p.m. in Ford Recital Hall at the DeYor Performing Arts Center, 260 W. Federal St.

We Are Stars at Ward Beecher Planetarium At 8 p.m., the Ward Beecher Planetarium at YSU presents We Are Stars, exploring life on Earth and the evolution of the universe.

SUNDAY

Christmas in Killarney Craft Show Penguin City Brewing Company, 460 E. Federal St., hosts the Christmas in Killarney Craft Show from noon to 4 p.m. The event features live music by the Fiddle Chicks, local vendors, and photos with Santa.

Family Days at The Butler The Butler Institute of American Art, 524 Wick Ave., hosts Family Days from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

MONDAY

YSU men’s basketball Youngstown State University faces Penn State Shenango at 6:30 p.m. at the Beeghly Center at YSU

TUESDAY

Stambaugh Youth Concert Band The Stambaugh Youth Concert Band presents its Fall 2025 Concert at 7:30 p.m. at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave.

Bar Bingo The Varsity Club, 131 W. Commerce St., hosts Bar Bingo at 7 p.m.

The Regional Chamber, a partner in advancing downtown redevelopment, stated that it continues to help connect businesses and organizations so local retailers, restaurants and bars can prepare for the city’s growing schedule of events.
