Youngstown corporation awarded more than $2M for home repair, down payment assistance

The Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation (YNDC) was recently awarded $2.475 million in grants from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati’s Affordable Housing Program for home repair and down payment assistance. Farmers National Bank, Huntington National Bank and CareSource are the member institutions supporting YNDC’s applications.

YNDC partnered with Farmers National Bank on a $1.5 million application that will support home repair to 84 units of owner occupied housing.

YNDC also partnered with Huntington National Bank and CareSource on an application that was awarded $975,000 and will support down payment assistance of up to $10,500 per unit to 75 homebuyers in the Mahoning Valley.

The projects will be completed in 2026.
