The following events have been scheduled at the Warren-Trumbull County Library System for the month of December:

  • A talk by author Terry Armstrong will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec 6 at the Howland library, 9095 East Market Street. Armstrong wrote “Holiday Headlock.” Registration for this event can be made by calling 330-856-2011.
  • A World Records Drop-In is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 at the Eastwood Mall library branch. The event is for families with children aged 3 and older.
  • “Let’s Jingle and Mingle on the Green!” is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 outside on the green in Brookfield Township, located just south of Warren-Sharon Road along state Route 7. The event is being hosted by the Brookfield library staff.
  • A Coffeehouse Book Club for teens is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. at the main Warren-Trumbull County Library, 444 Mahoning Avenue NW.
  • Holiday music will be featured at the Liberty branch, 415 Churchill Hubbard Road, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10 featuring guitarist Tyler Guerrieri and vocalist Rhonda Monroe (Liberty library manager) and at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17 featuring the Liberty High School choir under the direction of Donna Popio.
  • The Cortland Holiday Open House is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 11 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Cortland Library, 578 Lakeview Drive. The free event will feature crafts, music and a visit from Santa Claus.
  • Candy Land Lane will be scheduled from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 at the main Warren-Trumbull County library at 444 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren. Families with children aged 6 and younger will be able to learn and play on the indoor Candy Land Lane. Other free holiday activities, including crafts and information about community resources for young families will be available.
  • Jane Austen’s 250th birthday party will include a movie and tea at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16 at the main Warren-Trumbull County Library, 444 Mahoning Avenue NW. Registration is required by calling 330-399-8807.
  • “Noon Year’s Eve” party is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31 at the main Warren-Trumbull County Library at 444 Mahoning Avenue NW. The event is for families with children aged 3 and older. Registration is required by calling 330-399-8807.

All library locations in the system will be closed all day for the holidays on Dec. 24-25 and Jan. 1, 2026. On Wednesday, Dec. 31, all library locations will close at 5 p.m.
