For over 55 years, the Boys & Girls Club of Youngstown has been a cornerstone of youth development in the Mahoning Valley.

Staff members and volunteers have programming to connect students with free vision care, career exploration opportunities, healthy lifestyle education and academic success.

Earlier this year, the Boys & Girls Club of Youngstown announced a renovation project.

After months of construction, the Boys & Girls Club of Youngstown cut the ribbon on Dec. 11 the newly-renovated club at 2105 Oak Hill Ave.

As part of the $1.5 million renovation project, crews updated the activity rooms, modernized the learning center and improved the recreational spaces at the club.

On Dec. 12, the Boys & Girls Club of Youngstown hosted an open house at 5 - 7 p.m., guiding students through the new space and going over registration requirements with parents and guardians.

Club programming resumed on Dec. 15, providing kids with the safe, supportive and enriching environment.

“This has been a long and meaningful journey, and we cannot wait to fill our clubhouse once again with energy, laughter, and possibility,” said a representative.

Registration is open for after-school programming at the Boys & Girls Club of Youngstown.
