Jewish Community Center of Youngstown brings ice skating to Northside Pool
For the first time, Youngstown’s Northside Pool is being utilized this winter as an ice skating rink for the community.
The City of Youngstown Parks and Recreation Department announced a new winter activity for community members to take advantage of: outdoor ice skating at the Northside Pool.
The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown donated the synthetic ice rink for residents to skate across at 2160 Belmont Ave.
Skates can be rented for $5, and the rental fee is being waived for the first ice skating session from 3 - 5 p.m. on Dec. 20.
The rink will be open from 1 - 4 p.m. on Dec. 21, Dec. 26 and Dec. 27 on Belmont Avenue.
Dates are subject to change if there’s inclement weather.
A parent or guardian needs to be present while kids 15 years old or younger are skating.
