Throughout 2025 and into this year, YNDC staff did door-to-door surveys of more than 2,430 households, particularly asking residents about Glenwood Avenue, released at the end of January.

The Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation shared some of the progress that’s been happening at the former Park Inn revitalization project in the Glenwood Avenue corridor.

Last February, YNDC purchased the building which dates back to 1932 at 2626 Glenwood Ave. for $225,000 as part of an ongoing revitalization effort in the area.

Almost a year after purchasing the property, YNDC posted before-and-after pictures showing progress on the revitalization project at the former Park Inn.

This landmark revitalization project started with building stabilization fixes, including installing a new roof on the three-story section of the building and significant masonry work.

During phase one, YNDC also added new exterior and parking lot lighting.
