Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio (RMHC NEO), in partnership with McDonald’s of Northeast Ohio, celebrated the generosity of local Owner/Operators, restaurant teams, and customers during a recent check presentation recognizing more than $1.7 million raised in 2025 to support families with children who are hospitalized.

The $1,708,228 raised in 2025 marks another year of meaningful community impact, surpassing the $1,674,580 raised in 2024. These contributions provided 10,682 nights of rest for families staying close to their children during medical treatment, offering comfort, stability, and peace of mind during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Funds raised throughout 2025 came from a variety of community-driven initiatives and in-restaurant programs, including contributions from Shamrock Shakes, Happy Meal, Round-Up for RMHC, and Digital Day.

Local McDonald’s Owner/Operators played a vital role in the year’s success by training crew members to invite customers to Round-Up for RMHC with every transaction and by fostering a strong culture of giving back within their restaurants.

“Our locally owned McDonald’s restaurants are part of the communities we serve every day,” said Trey Locke, McDonald’s TomTreyCo. Owner/Operator. “Supporting Northeast Ohio and RMHC is about showing up for families when they need it most. Every Round-Up and every small act of generosity adds up to something truly life-changing, and with our customers, we’re proud to play a role in that impact.”

Locket said together, the efforts reflect a shared commitment to supporting families across Northeast Ohio by keeping them near the care their children need.

“The generosity of the Northeast Ohio McDonald’s community represents nearly 20 percent of our annual operating budget,” said Craig Wilson, CEO of RMHC Northeast Ohio. “It is foundational to our ability to remain open 365 days a year for every family who needs us, and we are deeply grateful.”
