Mahoning Valley’s first Zombie Dogz & Piez opens inside Austintown racino
The Mahoning Valley’s first Zombie Dogz and Piez opened to the public on March 10 at Hollywood Gaming Casino and Racecourse in Austintown.
Originally started as a food truck in 2012 in Dayton, Zombie Dogz quickly became a local favorite.
They’re known for gourmet hot dogs, tacos, sides and pizza pies, the most recent addition to the Zombie Dogz menu.
Hollywood Gaming acquired the brand, which initially launched at the Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway property.
Zombie Dogz has since expanded across Ohio and into Maine, Massachusetts and now, into the Mahoning Valley.
Erich Zimny is the vice president and general manager of Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring Zombie Dogz and Piez here to Mahoning Valley and look forward to unveiling this new food option for our guests. Whether it’s the individual pizzas or creative hot dogs, it’s a product we believe will resonate and provide us with another popular amenity that enhances our overall experience,” Zimny said.
Zombie Dogz and Piez will open at 11 a.m. weekly with scheduled closing times of 7 p.m. on Sunday and Monday, 9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 10 p.m. the remainder of the week.
Order a personal pizza pie with slushies and custom hot dogs at the newly-opened eatery inside the racino at 655 N Canfield Niles Road in Austintown.
