The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) proposes to resurface nearly 8.5 miles of State Route (SR) 11 from the Columbiana County line north to the U.S. Route 224/State Route 11 interchange in Canfield and Beaver Townships.

The project also proposes to resurface the ramps associated with the State Route 46/State Route 11 interchange. Additionally, the project proposes maintenance on eleven bridges along SR 11 within the resurfacing limits. The $7,087,000 project is estimated to begin construction early in 2027.

During project construction, a minimum of one lane of traffic northbound and southbound along SR 11 shall be maintained at all times by use of the existing pavement or the completed pavement, however, the ramps at the State Route 46/State Route 11 interchange will be closed/detoured for a period not to exceed three consecutive weekend days.

Additionally, the following state and county routes crossing SR 11 will be closed to traffic while the bridge maintenance work is completed.

West Garfield Road at the SR 11 crossing will be closed to traffic for a period not to exceed 14 consecutive days. The detour route will utilize Germantown Road, State Route 14 and State Route 46. Renkenberger Road at the SR 11 crossing will be closed to traffic for a period not to exceed 14 consecutive days. The detour route will utilize Germantown Road, State Route 14 and State Route 46. Western Reserve Road at the SR 11 crossing will be closed to traffic for a period not to exceed 14 consecutive days. The detour route will utilize State Route 46, State Route 165, State Route 164 and State Route 7. Leffingwell Road at the SR 11 crossing will be closed to traffic for a period not to exceed 14 consecutive days. The detour route will utilize State Route 46, U.S. 224 and Tippecanoe Road. State Route 46 at the SR 11 crossing will be closed to traffic for a period not to exceed seven consecutive days. Northbound SR 46 traffic will be detoured north along mainline SR 11 to U.S. 224 and then to SR 46. Southbound SR 46 traffic will be detoured south along SR 11 to SR 164, then back north along SR 11 to SR 46.

Local traffic detour routes will also be established for each location, as necessary, to maintain access for emergency/public services and none of these closures will occur at the same time.

All necessary signage will be posted within the project construction limits and all roads affected by the road closures. Traffic information will be posted to the project website prior to the start of construction. Access shall be maintained to all adjacent properties, businesses, and side roads for the duration of the construction project.
