The Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission has announced an upcoming overhead bridge project happening in Mahoning Valley.

Beginning Monday, May 11, through Wednesday, May 13, between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. each night, officials said traffic on the Boardman-Canfield Road/U.S. Route 224 overhead bridge in Mahoning County will be stopped in short intervals (up to 15 minutes) for an overnight bridge deck and beam replacement project.

The construction crew will install three sets of five beams over the three consecutive nights.

Traffic on the Ohio Turnpike mainline at milepost 227.6 will also be managed with intermittent rolling roadblocks from Monday, May 11, through Wednesday, May 13, between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. each night.

Drivers are asked to use caution in the work zones and expect brief delays.
