Seminarian Arthur Bodenschatz to be ordained to the transitional Diaconate

On Saturday, June 6, the Most Reverend David J. Bonnar, Bishop of Youngstown will ordain seminarian Arthur Bodenschatz as transitional deacon for the Diocese of Youngstown.

The ordination liturgy will take place at Saint Paul Catholic Parish at 241 S. Main St. in North Canton at 10:30 a.m.

Officials said Bodenschatz will continue serving at Saint Carlo Acutis Parish Columbiana under the leadership of The Very Reverend Chad Johnson. In the Fall, he will return to Saint Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology in Wickliffe, Ohio, to complete his priestly studies.

He is expected to be ordained to the priesthood in the summer of 2027.

Bodenschatz is the son of Gary and Nicole Bodenschatz and a parishioner of Saint Paul Parish in North Canton. He previously attended Borromeo Seminary Institute and John Carroll University in Cleveland Ohio. He is a 2018 graduate of Hoover High School.
