Mahoning Valley attorney focusing campaign efforts on Nov. 3 General Election
Attorney Mark P. D’Apolito said following a successful victory in the May 5 Ohio Primary Election, he is now focusing his campaign efforts on the November 3rd General Election as he seeks to become the next Judge of the Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
D’Apolito is running to succeed Judge R. Scott Krichbaum, who is retiring after years of distinguished service on the bench.
“I am deeply grateful for the strong support and confidence shown by the voters of Mahoning County,” said D’Apolito. “As we move toward the General Election, I remain committed to earning the trust of our community by demonstrating my dedication to fairness, integrity, impartiality, and the rule of law. The Common Pleas Court plays a critical role in protecting public safety, resolving disputes, and ensuring justice for all citizens, and I am prepared to lead the Court with professionalism, experience, and respect for the judicial system.”
D’Apolito said he brings extensive legal, prosecutorial, and public service experience to the race. A former Mahoning County Assistant Prosecutor and current Austintown Township Administrator, he said he has devoted his career to serving the residents of Mahoning County through both the practice of law and public administration.
Raised in a family with deep roots in Mahoning County’s legal community, D’Apolito said his commitment to public service was shaped early in life.
“From a young age, I witnessed generations of my family dedicate themselves to administrating, upholding, and enforcing the law in service to our community,” he said. “Those experiences instilled in me a profound respect for our justice system and inspired my lifelong commitment to fairness, accountability, and public service. I believe my background, legal experience, and commitment to the people of Mahoning County have prepared me well to serve as Judge.”
Throughout the campaign, D’Apolito said he will continue to meet with voters across Mahoning County to discuss the important responsibilities of the Common Pleas Court and his vision for maintaining a court system grounded in integrity, efficiency, and equal justice under the law.
